Guarenteed 1st page Google ranking

Posted by admin in Untagged

There are a number of companies that specialize in Google Adwords  and promise to drive hundreds of new leads daily to your website within each local market.

I have had the opportunity to hear a sales representative pitch their service to one of my clients and ask for  a minimum of $3000 dollars a month to get to the top of google . They promised 100's of new leads each week that would be converted from the new marketing campaign. The sales pitch was very impressive and the system they have designed was also very impressive but the 100% markup was outrageous.

I was blown away to find another client had got roped into a 3 month contract for $3k per month for 3 months to get 9 phone calls in 3 weeks that had nothing to do with the services they provided.  Upon signing a contract with these companies they replicate your existing site into a new site they purchase to direct paid traffic to which does nothing to help your own sites rankings and include a Meta No Index, No Follow Element along with a Robots.txt file that blocks the spiders from indexing any potential duplicate content.

I had an opportunity to review the keywords that were being paid for on this account and found hundreds of paid keywords that had nothing to do with this client.  So before you get roped into a contract make sure you do your homework, if you are going to pay $3k per month for Adwords do some homework checkout some tools such as spyfu.com to find out what your competition is paying for online ads you might be able to spend a couple hundred dollars a month and get the same amount of relevant traffic that you would get from these companies

99 dollar website design scam

Posted by admin in website design scams

So I see many people looking for $99 websites and I wonder why they believe they can get professionally designed website for such a low price without recognizing it as a scam.
I see many web design firms offering these very low prices with the fine print 1-2 pages included and $399 for each page or edit there after which will quickly turn into a $1-2k website design.

I recently seen a site that offered a $99 website with 2mb of disk space which seems ridiculous that anyone could even try to put a website on a 2mb web server a single html and jpeg file can be as large as 2mb.

I believe it is about being honest with people teach them how to best utilize the web to benefit their business if you make them successful it will then in turn my our business successful.

Connect the Branding Dots

Posted by admin in Untagged

The look and feel of your logo and website can put lots of money in your pocket, but the way the dots connect may surprise you.

Start with the idea that your potential customers don't really know you. They don't know if you're well-established or fly-by-night. They don't know if you're honest or if you treat your customers well. They don't know if you're a solid professional.

People pick up clues from the way your logo, brochure and website look. It's human nature. Think about going to the office or to a party: You can tell at a glance if a new arrival is someone you'll want to get to know by his or her dress and body language. In an instant, you've formed your first impression.

This human habit evolved to let your human ancestors stay alive long enough to bear children. If you could tell predator from prey at a glance, you were more likely to eat and not be eaten. Today, this well-honed at-a-glance sense is used less for physical survival than for making purchase decisions.

Visual branding is about harnessing this at-a-glance sense to boost your business success. It’s about using your business’s “dress and body language” to attract more customers. Think of an amateurish, overly complicated website for a used car lot as opposed to a clean-looking one that still gets the message across. What does each website tell you about the business? At a glance, you know where would you rather shop and which business you're more likely to trust.

Trust means your future customers believe you're likely to be honest and competent, and will deliver a good experience. Sometimes trust comes from friends telling friends they had a great experience. But most of your future customers won’t have word-of-mouth to rely on. They have to decide on their own whom to trust. That’s the mission of your logo, website or brochure, to create your business dress and body language--your visual branding.

Now take it a step further. Gaining your potential customers' trust and belief can also be called credibility. The more credibility you build, the more likely they will buy from you. The word “credibility” comes from credo, Latin for "I believe." Not coincidentally, the word "credit" also comes from credo. You can obtain lots of credit when lenders believe in you and your ability to repay. That’s not all. The money in your wallet is backed by “the full faith and credit” of the U.S. government. If it wasn't for this belief, greenbacks wouldn't be worth the high-tech paper they're printed on. So our entire economy--and your business in particular--are built on a foundation of credibility. That's how important visual branding is, and your expression of it in your logo, website and brochures.

Here are a few basics to help your business look credible:

Go for simplicity and lack of clutter. (Think Apple, the master of simplicity in branding.)

Create or demand a clean, well-balanced graphic design.

Use one or two basic colors that go well together, not a hodgepodge.

Choose one font and stick with it. You can express almost anything by using variations within a single font family: size, weight (boldness), italics, etc. If you really must, choose a second font for major headlines. But first try it with one font.

Coordinate a single look--design, colors, etc.--across everything you do, including your logo, website, brochures, ads and signage.
Give your business the dress and body language that will tip off your future customers so they can believe in you. Harness their highly evolved, at-a-glance sense to build instant credibility. Credibility equals credit, and that can put lots of money in your wallet.

Why do I need a website

Posted by admin in Untagged

I have heard the same common question I have fared well thus far without a website why do I need a website now? The answer to that question is a simple one, for marketing, advertising and continued growth.  In today's economy more and more people are using the internet to find businesses that offer goods and services whether they are local or across the world.  The advertising methods used over the years has drastically changed from the printed advertisements to now being exclusive done all online.

If you don't have a website in today's society new customers will slow decrease.

If you don't have a site maybe it's time to do so now so that you can begin tapping into those outside markets  across the world.

Microsoft Launches Bing today

Posted by admin in search engine , google , bing

Microsoft is trying to close the gap on search engine competitor  Google with it's new search engine released today Bing which supposedly makes searching the web faster and easier.

Some of the features are impressive but not to fond of the fact the businesses are only listed through the yellowpages.com database I like the fact that Google offers businesses their own business directory.

Interested to see if they pull any traffic away from Google
